Josh Duggar’s wife Anna Duggar returns to Instagram to interact with her family, but not the Duggars
Josh Duggar’s trial proved difficult for his wife, Anna Duggar. Anna had a consistent voice on social media, as she often shared photos and videos of her children and her life with her followers. Additionally, she often used the platform to interact with the Duggar family. But after Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict, Anna walked away from Instagram — until now. Here’s what her Instagram comeback looked like and who she interacted with.
Josh Duggar’s wife Anna Duggar has been noticeably absent from social media since her husband’s arrest
Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, supported Josh during his arrest and trial. In April 2021, federal agents arrested Josh on suspicion of downloading and obtaining child sexual exploitation material. In December 2021, his trial resulted in a guilty verdict. Anna went with Josh to the courtroom every day of the trial.
Since April, Anna Duggar’s Instagram presence hasn’t been as active as it once was. She has limited comments on her Instagram posts. She’s also only created one post since Josh’s arrest – and that was to announce the birth of their seventh child.
“Here is little Madyson Lily Duggar!” the post reads.
A number of Duggar family members also commented on the post. “She is beautiful!” Jessa Duggar commented.
“She’s darling!!!” Justin Duggar’s wife, Claire Spivey, also wrote.
Anna Duggar has returned to social media – but not to interact with the Duggar family
Many Duggar family supporters continue to await Anna Duggar’s response to Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict. It looks like a public response will never happen, as she has yet to comment on the lawsuit or the charges. But she could still return to social networks.
According to The Sun, Anna briefly returned to Instagram, but only to comment on a post created by her sister. Priscilla Waller and her husband welcomed a child on January 19, 2022. Anna commented, “Congratulations!” on the post with a heart emoji. Other Duggar family members also commented on the post.
Anna still hasn’t posted anything to her own Instagram page, nor does she appear to publicly interact with her in-laws online.
It seems like Anna is staying pretty close to her side of the family despite everything going on with the Duggars. While Anna was apparently absent from Duggar family parties, there was widespread speculation that she was leaving the state of Arkansas to visit family in Florida.
Anna’s family hasn’t spoken about Josh’s trial. But in the past, Anna’s brother has expressed concerns about Josh. People reports that Daniel Keller once posted on Facebook that he wanted Anna to leave Josh completely, and that he would even pay for his sister to move out.
Josh Duggar’s trial ended with a guilty verdict, but he could get another trial
Josh Duggar’s trial resulted in a guilty verdict and he is currently awaiting sentencing. But his legal team continues to fight for his freedom. According to The Sun, his team filed an appeal in hopes of getting the case acquitted or getting a new trial altogether.
Josh’s legal team claimed that some of the illegal files found on Josh’s work computer had never been opened or viewed. So maybe Josh didn’t know what the files contained. Or, if he knew, he didn’t see them. “The jury had no evidence that Duggar personally viewed any specific portion of any of the files allegedly found on the computer,” his legal team said.
It’s unclear if Josh will get another trial. In the meantime, it seems the Duggar family doesn’t mention anything about the call. Anna Duggar also said nothing about the first trial or the appeal.
