RIO DE JANEIRO (UrduPoint News / Sputnik – October 26, 2021) Facebook and Instagram deleted a video made by Jair Bolsonaro in which the Brazilian president spoke of the link between the coronavirus vaccination and AIDS, the Folha de newspaper reported on Monday. Sao Paulo.

The outlet refers to a statement by business representatives who say social media policy does not allow claims that COVID-19 vaccines can kill or cause serious harm to people.

Last week, Bolsonaro cited reports allegedly from the UK that COVID-19 vaccinations may stimulate AIDS in people with immunodeficiency viruses.

The Brazilian Society of Infectious Diseases and the Brazilian Medical Association have refuted Bolsonaro’s claims and called on people living with HIV to be vaccinated with a third booster.

This is not the first time that the President of Brazil has found his content blocked on the Internet. YouTube blocked videos on Bolsonaro’s channel promoting the effectiveness of the drugs ivermectin (used to treat many types of parasitic infestations) and hydroxychloroquine (used to prevent and treat malaria) against coronavirus and the futility of face mask requirements.
