Elon Musk Calls Instagram ‘Envy Amplifier’; Follower asks him to buy Facebook, shut it down

Sunday, one of Elon Muskfollowers of tweeted a extract of Berkshire HathawayVice President of Charlie Munger talk about envy.

Munger said in the music video that the world is not driven by greed; it is driven by envy.

Responding to the tweet, Musk said, “Instagram is an envy amplifier.”

Picking up on Musk’s statement, @DogeDesigner asked whether or not he hit 100 followers on his Instagram page.

Another of Musk’s followers asked if he could buy Facebook and shut down Instagram.

Another follower responded by saying that Dogecoin is a “fun amplifier”.

During an interview in August, Musk mentioned that he only has 54 followers on Instagram and admitted that the secret Instagram account is for personal purposes.

“Instagram is a next-level thirst trap. I found myself taking a lot of selfies and thinking, ‘Why am I doing this?’ Then it was about getting more likes and taking selfies,” Musk said.
