Calvert County Office of Aging Launches New Facebook Page

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Department of Community Resources, Office on Aging (OOA) Division, announces the launch of its new Facebook page.

The page will serve as a login to the OOA for seniors, seniors and caregivers.

“We are pleased to provide a centralized location for our aging community to find news and information specific to their interests,” said Director of Community Resources Jennifer Moreland.

“This must-have tool will help seniors and seniors find resources and activities to improve their quality of life, while helping them stay informed about news, closures and other center updates.

In his first year as Director of Aging Services, Ed Sullivan has worked to make major improvements to how Office on Aging resources are shared with the community, recognizing that preferences vary. within Calvert’s growing seniors community.

“Our community depends on the services of senior centers, and this new channel will help us communicate meaningful and relevant information and help us stay in touch with those who rely on the services we provide,” Sullivan said.

Resources on the new page will include recreational and educational activities held at senior centers, lunch menus, assistance with prescriptions and utilities, long-term care services, and many other resources that promote a healthy and independent lifestyle.
